CDP proxy
Data processing throughput of the CDP proxies depends on the available compute (CPU and RAM) resources. The possible data processing performance numbers (according to the internal testing) for the virtual CDP proxies running Ubuntu Linux in different hardware configurations are provided in the table below.
vSphere cluster write IO | Recommended CDP proxy configuration |
---|---|
Network encryption disabled | |
Up to 480 MB/s | 4 vCPU 8 GB RAM |
Up to 720 MB/s | 6 vCPU 12 GB RAM |
Up to 960 MB/s | 8 vCPU 16 GB RAM |
Network encryption enabled | |
Up to 360 MB/s | 4 vCPU 8 GB RAM |
Up to 540 MB/s | 6 vCPU 12 GB RAM |
Up to 720 MB/s | 8 vCPU 16 GB RAM |
Source and target CDP proxies configuration must match.
Note: The throughput observed in the production environment may vary due to the impact of other parts of the infrastructure. It is recommended to consult a trusted Veeam technical advisor for a correct infrastructure assessment and sizing of the solution components.
