Protecting Physical Server Workloads for Service Providers

Many service providers offer Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) using both virtual machines (VM) and physical machines. To protect physical machines, it’s recommended to use the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) over native VBR due to several reasons:

  1. Designed for Multiple Clients
VSPC is built to handle the remote management and monitoring of multiple customers or tenants, perfect for providers overseeing large environments.

  2. Multi-tenant Web Interface
With VSPC, service providers benefit from the ability to oversee and monitor backup processes for different clients all from one easy-to-use web interface.

  3. Additional Management Features
This console includes more options for billing, detailed reports, and the control of remote setups, which is excellent for handling many agents in different places. All these statistics can also be gathered via the API.

  4. File-Level Restore Portal
VSPC comes with a built-in File-Level Restore Portal, which allows end-users to restore individual files without the need for complex procedures or intervention from the service provider.
